Style & Money saving tips

- It's very easy to be lured by the price tags on most disposable fashion items. It's undeniably tempting to buy a bunch of cheap wardrobe pieces instead of splurging on quality items. The key here is to invest in timeless, classic pieces - like a structured blazer, black trousers and pencil skirt - and then indulge in a few trendy items to update your look.

- Think before you buy. Do you impulse-purchase a little too often? Ask yourself “do I really need this?” and “how often will I wear it?” If you can, wait at least 24 hours and see if you still want that item the next day. In the meantime, go through your existing wardrobe and determine whether or not that particular item will work with what you have.

- Develop your own sense of style. It sounds easy enough, but it does take time and it won't happen over night. We express ourselves daily with our clothing choices, and it only makes sense to have your clothing truly reflect the unique individual that you are.

- Start documenting your style. If you want to get an accurate picture of how your style is evolving, try taking a picture of your outfits. Especially the ones that get you lots of attention (good or bad) and compliments. Taking outfit photos daily is also a great way to see how things really look on you, keep your style fresh, and find new ideas for how to wear things.
